About Petrova Gora:
Petrova gora is located in Karlovac County, Republic of Croatia. It runs in a northeast-southwest direction, with a length of 25 km.
Once that mountain was called Gvozd, which means forest. After the great fight, called the Battle of Gvozd, between the Hungarian army on one side and the Croatian army on the other side, the last Croatian king Petar Svačić died on that mountain, and that Croatian mountain was named Petrova gora after him.
According to its origin, it is an old geological formation, which means that it is relatively rich in water and specific forest vegetation. This implies a certain mountaineering limitation because there are no wide vistas, but with this comes a great relief of relief with numerous substantial mountain ridges and deep penetrations enriched by numerous streams.
